Overview:
The Kristoff Maduro made by Exclusive Cigars is said to have that pre-embargo taste every aficianado beckons for. Torpedo capped and left with a somewhat shaggy pigtail on the foot, this maduro offers Orlor Domican Seed Tobacco and Nicaraguan Tobacco for fillers.
Pre-light:
Smelled dirty like a cattle pen with a little sweetness. Draw was a little tight but not in the bad way.
Post Light:
The Kristoff starts with a strong but not overpowering entrance. The cigar gets sweeter as you smoke it offering earth tones similar to Padron, but not quite as strong in comparison.
Conclusion:
Two years ago, I received a gift of three Kristoff Maduros for my birthday. From time to time I go and grab a couple of them to remind me of the nostalgia of sitting on the patio at my old house taking a puff and looking into the trees just to enjoy life and share with a few good friends. There’s definitely something great about this blend, I’m not saying it’s the best one out there, just one that’s fairly good.
